Be Yourself. Love Yourself.

By participating in this enjoyable and fun online class, your 10-12 year old daughter will build her confidence by recognising her unique qualities, and becoming proud of her individuality.

You know how great your daughter is but…

…she sometimes doubts herself
…at times she compares herself to others and feels she falls short
…although you do your best to encourage and support her, you feel she doesn’t always hear you
…you’re concerned these doubts and lack of confidence might intensify as she gets older

I can help…

This online class will support your daughter to develop her self-awareness – enabling her to see her strengths, understand her uniqueness and become proud of her individuality.

(And when I say “daughter” it could be your niece, younger sister, god-daughter or family friend you feel could benefit from this class)

During this introductory online class, I’ll be teaching each girl:

  • To appreciate her uniqueness
  • To build her self-awareness and appreciation through fun activities
  • To recognise the talents and skills she is already developing
  • A quick confidence boost technique to use anytime
  • To develop kinder self-talk

I’m Caroline Walker, and I’m passionate about supporting, encouraging and empowering girls to believe in themselves and be proud of who they are.

I started this work as I was so concerned about the many pressures on girls, teens and young women now.  Not only about their appearance, but pressures on how they perform at school, the complexity of friendship issues and of course the impact of social media.  And so much more.

I have been working with children and teenagers since 2014 with my own organisation, Confident Teens, and have supported hundreds of girls in dozens of schools.

I take a practical, good humoured and supportive approach in my online classes. I love supporting girls to figure things out for themselves, as well as seeing how they  inspire and encourage each other.

In the online classes I share some tips and ideas, and encourage girls to take time and space to think about things for themselves, and then (if they are happy to) share their ideas and thoughts with the group, so together we can progress their thinking.

How it works

  • Live 45 minutes online class with a small group of girls, aged 10 to 12
  • No classes are currently scheduled – please see link below to register your details to hear about upcoming classes
  • Your daughter will need to log in to Zoom to attend – once you have booked a place, the link will be sent to you
  • Class includes teaching and fun activities to enable your daughter to reflect on herself and her strengths
  • The small group size gives opportunity to hear how other girls are feeling – this in itself helps girls to realise they are not the only one who sometimes doubts themselves
  • Nurturing and supportive space, giving your daughter the opportunity to think about herself in a different way
  • Absolutely no pressure to speak in front of the group during the session, your daughter can say as much or as little as she likes. She can also choose whether to have her camera on or not.
  • No preparation needed – just have a pen and paper handy

Please note that this online class is not suitable for girls experiencing mental health issues, such as eating disorders, severe anxiety, self-harming, or depression. It is not intended as therapy or counselling.

I will be running more classes in coming months for 10-12 year old girls, as well as girls aged 13-16.

How do I know this will work?

Of course, I can’t guarantee any specific result.  But I do guarantee that I will encourage, support and kindly challenge your daughter to think about herself in fun, interesting ways.

How do I convince my daughter to attend?
This is something I hear from a lot of parents.  They want their girls to come to these kinds of classes, but the girls themselves feel shy or awkward.  I’d suggest you share with her that it’s a fun class where she’ll get to hear what other girls think and feel about themselves (as you know, girls are always curious about that).  And that I’m a friendly, kind person who wants nothing more than to help her figure things out.  She can say as much or as little as she wants in the class.  She won’t need to do any homework or hand anything in.  She can also choose whether to have her camera on or not during the class (after our initial video check-in so I can verify her).
How do I know it’s a safe online environment for my daughter?

I completely understand you want to know that this is a safe space for your daughter. I set up Confident Teens in 2014, and have run hundreds of workshops in schools since then.  I have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring certificate.  The class will be held on Zoom. All the girls who are booked to attend will enter the online waiting room and I will let them in one at a time, so I can verify the correct person is attending the session.  During the online class girls will be able to message me using the chat facility but they will not be able to message each other.

My daughter wants to attend but can’t make this time, do you offer other classes?

That’s great your daughter would like to join me!  I will be offering a range of times and dates, if you’d like me to let you know when these are available, please register your details on this short form and I’ll be in touch with more details.

I’m interested in this, but my daughter is older than 12, what can you offer her?

I’m pleased to hear you’d be interested in other classes for older girls.  I will be introducing these in coming weeks.  if you’d like me to let you know when these are available, please register your details on this short form and I’ll be in touch with more details.

Is there a recording?

This class is offered as a live online class for your daughter to participate in, to engage in activities and develop her ideas and thinking, so a recording is not available.  I will be running this class again, so if you’d like to know when this class will run again please click here to register your details, and I’ll send you the dates and times of other classes.

Is there any follow-up after the class?

Following this initial class, I will be offering a 6 week course for girls who’d like to learn more about building their confidence, through growing their self-awareness, developing kinder self-talk and stronger self-belief.  The course will be online, taking place in the afternoon, after school hours.  The details of this will soon be available.

Any other question?

If you have any other questions about this online class, I’d be happy to help.  Please email me at
